Faculty Resources

Faculty Resources

The Writing Center’s goal is to support the entire Mines community, from students to faculty. As a resource for faculty, we provide in-class writing and communication workshops, assistance with writing assessment, and help teach technical and academic writing successfully across the curriculum.

Writing Center Services Presentation

Please reach out to Director Allyce Horan if you’d like a brief in-class presentation about the Writing Center’s services and appointments. Presentations last about 10 minutes and explain what students can expect during an appointment, how to efficiently work during an appointment, and our availability. An appointment demo can also be included upon request. In lieu of an in-person presentation, consider showing the 2-minute video below to your students in class. It describes our overall mission and services.
